Mission Statement :
International Sports Consulting is a stateside based, mobilization
focused, relationship building company whose purposes involve:
- Penetrating restricted access countries with the
Christ-like, Spirit-empowered lives of Christian athletes and coaches.
- Assisting and encouraging the indigenous church
planting movement in each country we enter.
- Reaching and involving nationals who will reach
their countrymen for Christ.
ISC operates in a covenant relationship with Great
Commission Christian organizations with the express purpose of engaging
athletes and athletic organizations in restricted access countries for the
purpose of building relationship through bridges of friendship.
History :
The concept for ISC was birthed in the heart of a youth pastor in
1990. He had the desire to find a way to gain entry to restricted access
countries using sports and coaching. In 1999, the concept of specifically
focused mobilization was birthed. That lead to the birth of ISC in
December 2005 / January 2006. Since its inception, ISC has desired to
utilize the best available talent to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ
through sport participation and coaching. ISC is a sending agency
partnered with the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist
Convention and is chartered in Tennessee.
